Richard de Beauchamp, the 13th Earl of Warwick, was said to be worth £3.3-million when he died in 1439 at the age of 57 - making him one of the top 10 richest people in the history of Britain, according to a new book. Philip Beresford and William D Rubinstein, the co-authors of The Richest of the Rich, have estimated the Earl's wealth to be worth around £34-billion in today's terms."
