MANAGING director of Miton Group, Gervais Williams' new book may be called The Future Is Small but the crowd at its launch last night was anything but. A 300-strong throng of Miton's employees, clients, friends, some journos and Williams' mum ("I dedicated this book to her, she's having brilliant fun," he tells us) trotted down to trendy The Foster Project, off Cheapside, to wet the book's head. "It's slightly embarrassing, in school I was not noted for my skills in the area of writing but I've put on a few years and become more adept," he told The Capitalist. The book, which proposes that Aimlisted companies will perform the best over the next few years, isn't his first - Slow Finance, was published in 2011. A career change on the cards? "I wasn't expecting to write one, so two is astonishing," he says. That'll be a no, then.
